About this condition
Helicobacter pylori is the bacterium responsible for the majority of stomach and duodenal ulcers, and it is widespread in Pakistan. Treatment addresses the burning, fullness and nausea, and the reality that many patients relapse after antibiotic eradication. Confirm infection by breath, stool antigen or endoscopy first rather than treating on suspicion.
Symptoms we see
- Burning pain in the upper abdomen
- Fullness soon after starting a meal
- Frequent belching and bloating
- Nausea, sometimes vomiting
- Pain that wakes you at night
- Bad breath and appetite loss
