About this condition
Gallstones that cause no symptoms often need no operation at all, and many patients are advised surgery earlier than necessary. Treatment here aims at the pain, bloating and fat intolerance, with dietary correction. That said, repeated severe attacks, infection or a blocked duct are proper surgical indications and will be said so plainly.
